I was disappointed with the lack of service in the service department at Shepherd's GMC Rochester. I had a specialty warranty policy, and I had to take my truck to a dealership to get it fixed (at no cost). I chose Shepherd's in GMC Rochester and spoke to Doug. After "looking" at my vehicle, Doug stated that there is so much more going on with it than just the special warranty coverage. David Murphy did a great job working with my mom. His patience and how he explained everything made a stressful situation for her as stress free as possible. He took the time to answer all of her questions and she knows to stop by if she has any problems.
Very friendly, and good communication but like every dealership, parts and labor quote for repair was very high.
Called about a truck and was told I could come look at it the next morning just to be lied to and them sell the truck out from underneath me after I spoke for the truck. I will NEVER do business with them an will not recommend them to anyone.

They charged me for something that was under warranty Because I didn’t buy the truck from there location The reason I didn’t buy the truck from their location was because the exact same truck with more miles was $3000 more than it was in Fort Wayne. I do not recommend doing any kind of business with them even if they give you a warranty they will not honor it horrible service I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere

I requested an oil change and inspection. I drive 10 hours about every weekend to get my son and take him back plus I drive 2 hours a day for my job. My car was getting high in miles and they went through everything even though it took extra time. I greatly appreciate the quality work.

I really can’t recommend this dealership enough. They’re trustworthy and they make the car buying experience easy. I drive an hour just to purchase my cars here and get my service done. They didn’t have the car I wanted when I called yesterday, so they found the exact model from another dealership and had it there today. Branden is the salesman that I’ve purchased both cars through and I highly recommend him. So even if they don’t have the exact vehicle you want, just give them a shout and they’ll find it.
Everybody was extremely nice, patient, and accommodating. I have nothing negative to say of my experience whatsoever. When I called back with an issue three days later, the response was immediate and the problem was resolved the next day.

My grandmother bought a 2019 GMC Acadia Denali from these guys (New) @ the time. Well she is gone now & left the vehicle to my mother. The back taillight went out. After several mechanics all saying that the whole back end was wrecked and doesn't even have GMC hardware in it. Idk if it's these guys (Shepherds) or further down the line but there was a vehicle purchased supposed to be new but definitely was not!

Got a new car and they were really nice
Unfortunately, I went to Mr. Shepherd with a large problem. I had lost my keys to my car that I bought at his shop. I needed help desperately so that I could get my children to, and from where they needed to go. Mr. Shepherd Sold me someone else's key fob for a very high price, which apparently I heard from the local honest shop is completely illegal. However, I didn't know that at the time and guess what? Took my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, and fog light bulb replacement. Came to over $190. I questioned it and they lowered it to $143. They never rotated the tires because the same one had a slow leak after they were “rotated”. Won’t be back.
Everyone has been so nice and helpful. My only complaint was that it took a week or two before my car was able to be seen, but I also know that isn’t the fault of the dealership. My car is running great so far after having the sensor replaced and drop off and pick up were so easy.
Recieved a quote for a break job for 1,100 dollars when parts was less then 300.00 In the last 40yrs of having my vehicles serviced I have never received a quote that outrages I left and had the job done for less then half of your quote so I would not recommend you to a friend a fellow Member!
Horrible customer service between a sales associate and service desk, tried screwing me on my vehicle the day I purchased it!
Why are the ratings so high when everything is over priced? I was doing some research and for example a 2019 CHEVROLET CRUZE msrp is worth 18,000 this car dealership has its msrp around 24,000 but with the "shepherd deal" you can buy it around 23,000.

I spent $162 for a window "repair" and oil change, only to have it fall off track less than two weeks later. Instead of fixing it properly in the first place they decided to "save me money" and charge me another $100 diagnostic fee only to use clear tape to hold up the window, already have had diagnosed the issue before. Hope it was worth the laugh as we will never purchase another vehicle from any Shepard's location again. I am a maintenance manager and would fire my crew for this.

First few experiences here were great. The last 3 times we have been there have been awful: Scheduled an appointment that they never wrote down so our vehicle was just sitting there with no phone call from anybody asking why it was there- needless to say work not done timely, they rarely had the parts needed or could get them in a timely manner, poor communication, overall very unsatisfied and will be finding a new shop for our future needs.
Bought a 2015 Silverado with 2600 miles on it. Truck was owned by this dealer and was used as a service loaner. Truck looked in good condition so I had no reason to believe there was anything wrong with it,even so, I asked the salesman if there were any issues with the truck, had it been wrecked?
